Dress Standards
It came to the attention of the Commandant Air Cadets whilst she was visiting The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) of some major breaches in dress regulations:
1. A female cadet was seen wearing a tongue bar
2. Another female cadet was seen with bright blue hair
Both these points go against our dress regulation policy and having been displayed in such a public environment has prompted to Corps Warrant Officer to re-enforce our standards of dress to all.
Although neither of these cadets were from our squadron, you all need to remember that you have no idea who sees you in the public eye and that whilst in uniform you are representing the image of the Royal Air Force.
You all have various points to improve on after our last uniform inspection earlier in the month. I want to see a significant improvement from all cadets by the next inspection. Anyone who consistently fails to meet the required standards will loose the right to wear uniform. You have been warned, improve it or loose it.

Essex Wing Adventure Training & Leadership Camp (Green Camp)
Essex Wing have announced the date of Green Camp, which will be during the October half term week 25 OCT - 01 NOV 2014 at Swynnerton Training Camp in Staffordshire.
The objective of the camp is to provide cadets with adventure training, leadership and shooting activities. What with the very limited number of Blue Camp places, this is an excellent opportunity for cadets to take up and experience a camp with other squadrons in Essex Wing.
Total cost is £120, a £50 deposit is required to secure a place. The deposit should be paid by cash or cheque made out to '2393 Billericay Squadron ATC'. The balance of £70 will need to be paid in October.
To apply for a place, add your name to the event list on the notice board and return your deposit within the next 2 weeks.
